Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center recently received initial accreditation for the newly developed Internal Medicine Residency Program.
In accordance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Next Accreditation System and the policies set forth in its Policies and Procedure Manual, all accredited programs are being reviewed annually by their relevant Review Committee.

The Internal Medicine Residency Program is a three-year program and is approved for a total of 36 accredited resident positions. Medical student candidates will be able to apply in the fall 2019 via ERAS (interview process) and we will participate in the 2020 NRMP (match). Our first class of 12 Internal Medicine residents will start on July 1, 2020.
