The purple and gold fell to 5-6 with the loss, while the Lady Indians improved to 7-4 after the win.
It was Ada's seventh game in seven days, the last six of which have been at home. The Bulldogs went 3-4 in that busy stretch.
Shawnee jumped in front with three runs in the top of the first inning. Ada edged within a run on two third inning runs.
But the Indians broke it open with five runs in the fifth, then added two more insurance runs in the sixth to put the game out of reach. Ada went scoreless over the final four frames.
Bulldog sophomore workhorse Leona Dalton pitched a complete game, giving up just six hits and three earned runs in defeat. She struck out eight and walked three.
Indian Olivia Musser earned the win with five innings of three-hit pitching. She struck out five and allowed only one earned run.
Leadoff batter Alexis Ennis led the Ada offense with two hits and a run. Kiersten Cortez singled, stole a base and drove in a run.
Sophomore Aubrey Madison added the other Bulldog hit and also stole a base. Raina England swiped one base and scored the other Ada run.
Indian Abbie Boone drove in three runs and hit a home run to lead the visitors. Abbey Ambroza hurled two innings of scoreless relief to close the game.
Ada was out-hit by Shawnee, 6-4. The Indians committed three errors while the Bulldogs were guilty of five miscues. Shawnee scored seven unearned runs.
