Naomi Basinger celebrates 100th birthday with April 13 open house
Naomi Basinger will celebrate her 100th birthday on Saturday, April 13, from 2-4 p.m. with an open house at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. (No gifts please). Birthday wishes may be sent to her at: 304 Hilty Dr, Pandora OH 45877.
Naomi was born April 16, 1919, in Lafayette, Ohio, to Harry E. and Chloe (Williams) Shrider she married Orville Basinger on July 13, 1940. Orville passed away on Jan. 25, 1998. Naomi had three siblings: Donna (Ray) Long, Diamond (Bob) Klingler and Harry J (Marie) Shrider. All are deceased. Naomi had worked at Westinghouse, Lima, and retired from Triplett.
Naomi has two children: Lynn (Betty) of Bluffton and Jane (Mark) Kinsinger of Pandora; five grandchildren: Dan Basinger, Sara Basinger Heinze, Matt (Andrea) Kinsinger, Mike (Teresa) Kinsinger, and Jason (Tammy) Kinsinger; 13 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She loves family visits, especially from her great-grandchildren. She stays active attending the various programs and enjoys singing at church services at the home She is an avid Bingo player.
