Jessica Abbey says that she learned to ride horses before she was able to walk.
Jessica is Vancrest Ada’s case manager and a registered nurse, is in this month’s Vancrest employee spotlight.
She graduated from Allen East High school and attended Apollo Career Center to obtain her registered nurse’s license in 2011.
Before being a nurse, Jess was an STNA for three years. She became a licensed practical nurse in 2000.
Her favorite part about working as Vancrest’s case manager is the flexibility of it all. She enjoys working in its many aspects and gets to be on the floor on occasion to get to know the residents even better.
She has been married to her husband, Mike, have three children Sydney, Jolene and Colten.
Jess said her favorite food is coffee. She enjoys reading, riding horses and taking naps. She learned to ride horses before she was able to walk. She also enjoys watching wrestling, football and Cincinnati Red’s baseball.
Jess said her favorite vacation was to Topsoil Island, North Carolina, in 2016. This trip was the last family vacation together before losing her son, Colten.
