We think you missed our April Fool story
The Icon gets but one chance a year to fool viewers.
That chance was yesterday, on April 1. Sometimes we win and other times, it's rather ho-hum.
Judging by the responses from this year's story, it was, well, not even ho-hum. It was a dud.
Spoiler alert: There is no truth to the fact that a voter initiative may go on the ballot to create a surcharge on all types of Ohio vanity license plates.

Our favorite part was that certain qualifying small school districts in Ohio would receive Local Government Funds to install artifical turf on football and soccer fields.
That didn't even raise an eye brow.
Our second choice as a story was to create open season on Canada Geese and establish a festival for the event. But, the editorial board nixed it.
See you next year.
