Carnival time on Saturday!
By any measure, Vancrest has been successful in its first three years in Ada. The company will celebrate its third anniversary with a carnival, open to the public, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.
There will be a dunk tank, face painting, a roving clown, a DJ, bouncy house, games, prizes, candy, popcorn, cotton candy, and a free lunch featuring hamburgers or hotdogs.
A 50/50 raffle takes place to benefit a staff member's family who lost everything in the Celilna tornado. Tickets are avilable now in the Vancrest business office (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and will be sold the carnival and the drawing is at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $1 for one, $5 for six and $10 for an arm's length.
And, several gift baskets will be available to be raffled separately from the 50/50 raffle.
Entertainers perform and other senior activities are held regularly for the residents. Members of the community, especially local church groups, provide music and other programs, especially at holidays.
Vancrest of Ada is located at 600 W. North Ave. (SR 81) near Ada schools.
