One person dead in Mt. Victory accident
One person died in a two-vehicle accident at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, on South Main Street (SR 31), Mt. Victory, according to the Hardin County Sheriff's office.
The sheriff's report follows:
At 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, the sheriff received a 911 call reporting a two vehicle crash on South Main, State Route 31, Mt. Victory.
Upon arrival, deputies found a south-bound commercial vehicle had collided with a north-bound passenger vehicle.
The driver of the commercial truck, Maurice Hale of Detroit, was not injured. The driver of the passenger car, Annie Li Yang of Lansing, Michigan, was deceased at the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the north-bound vehicle driven by Ms. Yang veered left of center into the path of the commercial vehicle, however the crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
