What's on your Saturday calendar? Make time for Colleges Against Cancer at ONU's King Horn Sports Center.
The 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. event hads lots of family-friendly events plus a serious side, of raising funds to fight cancer.
This year's goal is $10,000 and the student group planning the event has already raised $5,224.65.
A schedule is attached. It starts with a 5 p.m. survivorship dinner. Then, the doors open at 6 p.m. and the evening includes everything from an opening ceremony to pie a professor, Zumba, a dance team, Mr. and Mrs. Relay, luminarias - and that's just until midnight.

The mother-son duo won first place in their respective divisions (adult and youth) in Saturday’s 7th annual chocolate bake-off at the Ada Public Library.
Timothy entered a brownie cake with cookie butter frosting. His mom entered an Oreo chocolate cake.
Depending upon how you looked at it, the four judges either had a very tough time or, had the time of their life, tasting and scoring the entries.
Due to the number of cancellations, Friday, Feb. 15, will be a regular school day for Ada students and not a professional development day, Meri Skilliter, Ada superintendent told the Icon this afternoon. The day was origianal set as a non-school day.

DEFIANCE - The Ada girls and boys swim teams competed in the Div. II swim sectionals at Defiance Ayersville Saturday, with two Bulldog juniors qualifying for the district meet next Friday.
"Sectionals was a very good meet for us, with almost everyone dropping time," said Ada head coach Stephanie Steiner.
Bulldog junior Klava Katayama won the 100 butterfly race and also captured the 50 freestyle to qualify for the Bowling Green district event in both events.
Katayama made it to the state meet at Canton the last two years in sprint freestyle events. This year, she heads into districts seeded first in the 100 fly.

WAPAKONETA - The Ada boys basketball team was seeded 11th of 12 teams at the Coldwater/Bath Div. IV sectional drawings held Sunday at Wapakoneta.
The Bulldog boys (3-15) will take on New Knoxville (3-15) in a rematch Tuesday, Feb. 26, in the sectional semifinals at Coldwater. Tip-off is set for 6:15 p.m.
Ada lost a close battle at NK by a 47-44 count on Jan. 5.
"It is a great opportunity for us to redeem ourselves from a contest early in the year where we felt we did not play our best basketball," said Ada head coach Dre White.
