ONU students, new and returning, are on campus.

Yesterday countless students made their mark on the spirit rock on campus.

You've officially been warned. Another pancake pandemoni is on schedule next week at the Ada Public Library. It's for students from grades 6 to 12 after school, Wednesday, Aug. 26.

It’s August but the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce Blaze of Lights Committee is already at work.

This year’s Blaze of Lights is Saturday, Nov. 28.

Blaze theme
According to Lauren Beasley, Christmas lighting contest director, “This year’s Blaze theme is ‘A Christmas from the Past.’ Downtown businesses are encouraged to start thinking about ideas to decorate their store windows based on that theme.”

Windows winners will be selected by downtown businesses. This year’s residential lighting contest details will be announced soon. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners.

Ada First United Methodist Women are raffling off a quilt titled "Ada Images." Tickets for the raffle are now  available. The drawing will be after the Harvest and Herb luncheon, which will be 11-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Ada First United Methodist Church in Wesley Hall. See Cathy Smalley or Myra Berger for tickets.

The answer to this question could be debated all summer.

What's your favorite flower in the Ada depot park? It depends on several variables. For example, which month do you check the blooms? What's your favorite color? What's your favorite fragrance?

Do you like climbers? Do you like creepers? The list goes on.

We can't solve this question, but we can provide our favorite nine blooms in August. These were photographed earlier this week. We've simply focused on one individual flower of our favorites.

We hope you enjoy these also.
