ONU women listed on lacrosse academic honor roll
The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released its Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll. Quite a few Ohio Northern student-athletes made the list.
Juniors Eli Carter (Lebanon), Ann McArn (Bay Village/Western Reserve Academy), Kayla Penrod (Marysville) and Maddie Storr (Clarence, N.Y.) were honored alongside 649 other athletes from across Division III. To be eligible for the honor roll, athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and possess a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
All four aforementioned Polar Bears performed well on the field, as well. Storr ranked second on the team with 34 goals scored to go with her team-high 16 assists.
McArn tallied 19 goals and one assist, while Carter recorded 11 goals and two assists. Penrod did the majority of her work in the middle of the field, racking up 13 ground balls, nine turnovers caused and six draw controls.
The Polar Bears ended the 2019 season with a 7-9 overall record and a 3-5 mark in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
