CONVOY - The visiting Ada girls soccer team tied Northwest Conference foe Crestview 1-1 Tuesday evening.
The deadlock ran the Lady Bulldog record to 2-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the NWC. Crestview is 5-1-1 and 2-1-1 in the NWC after the tie.
Bulldog Katie Butterfield scored first on a cross from Timber Blankenship at the 15-minute mark.
Crestview tied it up 1-1 on a blooper that dropped in over the Ada keeper's head with 10 minutes left in the first half. Neither team scored over the last 50 minutes, even though Ada came close several times.
"The frustrating part of the match was that we out-shot them 30 to six," said Ada head coach Doug Poling.
"We had five shots rattle off the crossbar," said Poling. "We also played the majority of the game on our offensive end."
Sidney Gossard made five saves in goal for the Bulldogs.
Ada hosts Cory-Rawson Sept. 18.
