Thearse M. “Dolly” Lawrence funeral service on Saturday
Thearse M. “Dolly” Lawrence, 65, died on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, at 6:30 a.m. at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born on Aug. 26, 1954, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late DeWayne and Rosie Lucille (Poe) Salsbury. On June 25, 1977, she married James “Wink” Lawrence and he survives in Alger.
Dolly was a homemaker that enjoyed karaoke night with her husband and friends. She always looked forward to weekly lunches with her friends, but especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is also survived by a son, Haven (Jessica) Lawrence of Alger; three granddaughters: Tayler, Shalyn, and Audrey; two brothers: DeWayne “Tim” (Mary) Salsbury, Jr. of Alger and David Salsbury of Carey; and five sisters: Anna Marie “Sally” Rowe of Alger, Retha “Sis” Shumaker of Arlington, Dorothy “Jeanie” Dysert of Hiawasee, GA, Rita (Greg) Collins of Arlington, and Angela (Dennis) Hamilton of Findlay.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with Rev. Gene Salsbury officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger and until the time of service Saturday.
