Hunter Wells leads Ada cross country team at Kenton

KENTON - The Ada boys cross country team finished sixth at the Kyle Althauser Memorial Invitational meet hosted by Kenton Thursday evening.
St. Marys won the team title with 31 points. Waynesfield-Goshen finished a distant second (65), followed closely by host Kenton (66).
Hardin Northern finished fourth (95), with Riverdale fifth (107) and Ada sixth (165). Lima Senior (no score) and Perry (no score) were each two runners short of the requisite five needed to total a team score.
Bulldog senior Hunter Wells ended up 24th in the 53-runner field to post the top Ada finish. He covered the 3.1-mile course in 21:09.3.
The average Ada time was 22:58.7.
Senior Noah Tobin of St. Marys won the individual race title with a time of 17:31.4. Sophomore Aiden Gatchel of Hardin Northern finished fourth in a time of 18:11.9.
