Cheer Clinic for high schoolers at ONU on Dec. 14
The Ohio Northern University cheerleaders and their coaches will hold a high school cheerleading clinic from 1-4 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Kinghorn Sports Center on the ONU campus.
The clinic is open to those grades 9-12. Deadline to register is Dec. 10.
Participants will work with ONU cheerleaders to learn chants, jumps, advanced stunting and tumbling techniques, and a dance created specifically for the clinic.
Participants will also perform with the ONU cheerleaders during the first half and halftime show of the ONU vs. Capitol basketball game.
The schedule will be:
- 12:30 p.m - Check-in at the Dance Room in Kinghorn
- 1:00 p.m. - Clinic begins
- 3:00 p.m. - Performance during first half and halftime show of the ONU basketball game. After half-time, participants will be dismissed to their parents/guardians.
The clinic cost is $40 per participant, and includes a t-shirt and bow, as well as entrance to the basketball game.
Attire is t-shirt, black athletic shorts, flat athletic or cheerleading shoes. Long hair must be secured in a ponytail and any jewelry removed for safety reasons.
