Ultrasound is an imaging modality that uses sound waves transmitted into the body to create a picture of internal structures. Ultrasound can be used to image a baby developing inside the womb and has become a routine part of prenatal care. Most patients will get at least two or three diagnostic ultrasounds throughout their pregnancy.

The Ada High School boys soccer team defeated visiting team Old Fort 3-2 Thursday night, August 25, at War Memorial Park Stadium.

Ada ran out to a 3-0 halftime lead and held off a second half charge by OF to preserve the victory.

"That was one of the best Old Fort teams we have played," said Ada head Jason Okuly. "It was a very physical game."

Senior Carter Conley scored two goals for Ada. Sophomore teammate Logan Jolliff added the other goal, and he also also dished out one assist.

Nathan Williams passed out one assist. Colton Long made eight stops in goal.

The Bulldogs improved to 3-0-1 with the win.

The Ada High School volleyball team lost in straight sets at MAC power Coldwater Thursday evening, August 25.

The Lady Bulldogs lost 25-8, 25-7, 25-10 to even their record at 2-2 this season.

Junior hitter Daicy Robinson led Ada with four kills.

Junior setter Autumn Andreasen dished out seven assists. Senior libero Courtney Sumner came up with seven digs and hit two kills.

Sophomore Tessa Griffith contributed two kills. Junior Josie Phillips added five digs.

There was no junior varsity match.

Ada hosts Perry Tuesday, August 30.

This month the Ada Rotary Club welcomed two new members, Cathy Clark (sponsored by Becky Neville) and Del Cogar (sponsored by Rhonda McKinley).

At the same meeting, the program included an update from Brian Barrington and Tracy Hollar of Pegasus Specialty Vehicles.

Deb Curlis also gave an update on the Beatitudes community center and thrift store.

The Ada Academic boosters have an online spirit wear sale with the goal of raising $1,000 in support of academic activities at the Ada Schools.
