Men’s team
Ohio Northern sophomore Justin DeLano (Englewood/Northmont) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Nov. 11-17.

DeLano won three events to lead the Polar Bears (2-1 overall) to a 134-51 victory at Wittenberg on Friday.

He won the 1000-yard free in 10:37.04 and won the 200-yard back in 2:09.57. DeLano was also part of ONU's winning 200 free relay team, which finished in 1:30.32.

Women’s team
Ohio Northern freshman Shelby Starkey (Bellefontaine) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Nov. 11-17.

Starkey won three events to lead the Polar Bears (2-1 overall) to a 114-67 victory at Wittenberg on Friday.

She won the 200-yard free in 2:07.07 and the 500-yard free in 5:44.03. Starkey was also part of ONU's winning 200 medley relay team, which won in 1:59.75.

The Polar Bears will return to action Dec. 5-7 at the Wooster Invitational.
