VAN WERT - Ada competed at Van Wert in a boys and girls double dual swim meet with Elida Thursday evening.

The Bulldog boys lost to Van Wert 53-33, and VW also drowned Elida 49-35.
The previous Saturday, Ada swam well at the Marion Pleasant Invitational. The Lady Bulldogs finished fourth overall even without ill ace Klava Katayama, while the Bulldog boys came in fifth.
"We had a pretty good meet at Marion with some good swims from almost all of the kids," said Ada head coach Stephanie Steiner-McMahon. "Most of them swam their best times."
Freshman Carlie Oldfield won the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke events to pace the Ada girls.
Freshman Kaitlyn Bowden took second in the 200 freestyle while Lexi White finished third. Junior Paige Cole came in second in the 100 fly and was third in the 200 individual medley.
First-year swimmer Kayla Wince placed third in the 100 breaststroke.
Senior Isaac Spar finished third in both the 200 free and 100 butterfly. Ian Dellifield also ended up third in the 100 breaststroke for Ada.
The Bulldogs did not participate in the Fremont Invitational as originally scheduled on Saturday, Dec. 21.
The Ada swim team dives back into action at the Lima Holiday meet Monday, December 30 at 10 a.m.
