Some as small as fences, one as large as $4 million

By Monty Siekerman
How much construction has there been in Ada this year?

The zoning board has approved 48 projects, some as small as fences, one as large as the $4 million solar array on campus.

Three new houses have been built (two of them in the 300 block of West Lima Avenue, pictured) and a duplex. An addition to the east side of Associated Plastics was valued at a quarter million dollars.

Overall, the educational and industrial projects won out over new residences.

Six angels appear to be dancing around a small pine tree at the Glenn Whitten home at the corner of Conley and Grand. The Whittens have a clever idea. The angels first appear in October as ghosts, then in November, halos and wings are added, turning the display into a Christmas decoration with ease. (Monty Siekerman photo)

This snow person needs some beauty tips, especially the hairdo. He/she should visit an Ada beauty salon or barbershop before melting. Can you guess where this disheveled snow person can be found? Check out 208 S. Johnson. (Monty Siekerman photo)
