Sheep Improvement Association banquet March 7
The Hardin County Sheep Improvement Association holds its annual lamb banquet on Saturday, March 7, at St. John’s Evangelical Church in Kenton at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets can be reserved from the Extension office, 419-674-2297, and paid for at the door. Adult tickets are $15, children $7, and 2019 Hardin County Junior Fair sheep exhibitors are free with a reservation given to the Extension office by Feb. 28.
Tickets may also be purchased until Feb. 28 from the following county Sheep Improvement Association Directors: Dave Ramsey, Megan Burgess, Randy Buxton, Bruce Donnelly, Scott Elliott, Kristie Fay, Kenny Williams, Bruce Oberlitner, Russell Senning, Craig Powell, Steve Saylor, Shane McCafferty, Melissa Gossard, or Kristen Ferguson.
A dinner will be prepared with various cuts of lamb. Brady Campbell, OSU sheep team program coordinator, is the guest speaker.
The Hardin County Sheep Improvement Association is looking for 2020 Lamb and Wool Ambassador contestants and scholarship applicants. Contact Kristie Fay at 419-673-5368 for details.
The Association offers three $500 scholarships to students entering/attending college for the 2020-2021 school year. For more information about the scholarship, contact Tori Kirian at 419-674-2297. Applications must be received either online or at the Hardin County Extension Office by Feb. 28
