2020-21 Kindergarten registration March 30-April 3
Ada Kindergarten registration for the 2020-21 school year takes place the week of March 30 to April 3, at the elementary school, according to Ben Thaxton, principal.
Times are from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, with special evening hours on Tuesday, March 31, from 5 to 7 p.m.
All children must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1, 2020. Children will not need to attend the registration.
After completion of the school's online forms, a time will be set up for your child's kindergarten screening to be held on May 7 or May 8.
At the time of registration, you must bring your child's:
• Birth certificate
• Social Security card
• Immunization records
• Proof of residency in the Ada District
• Custody paper, if necessary
The school will not allow registration without these documents.
Immunizations required for Kindergarten entrance follow:
• 5 doses of DTaP/DTP/DT (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis)
• 4 doses of Polio
• 2 doses of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
• 3 doses of Hep B (Hepatitis B)
• 2 doses of Varicella (Chickenpox)
• HIB and Hepatitis A is not mandatory
If immunization requirements are incomplete at registration the school will asks you to get what is needed and provide the immunization dates to the school nurse before the first day of the 2020-21 school year.
