MEDIA RELEASE__The Ada High School Foundation would like to recognize Motherson Atsumitec USA, formerly Ada Technologies Inc., for their support of its foundation. For 10+ years the manufacturer has sponsored a scholarship for a graduating senior pursuing a career in engineering.

This year’s scholarship donation will total $800. The foundation would like to thank this company for helping graduating seniors pursue their dreams.

If anyone in the community would be interested in starting a scholarship to help support graduating seniors, please contact one of our board members: Linda Fleming, Jake Zimmerman, Amanda Riess, Todd Madison and Ted Griffith.

Results for part one of the Wilson Sporting Goods 5k Run and 1M Walk on May 9 is in the record books: the top three runners crossed the finish line in this order: 1) Joshua Freye of Findlay, Ohio, 2) Kody Logan, of Ada, Ohio, and 3) Ava Katona of Greenwood, Indiana.

The free community event drew 257 runners and walkers who followed a course on the tree-lined streets of Ada near the Wilson Football Factory.

ADA__The Ada High School baseball team was seeded eighth in its tough eight-team Northwest 1 Div. VI sectional drawing, which was finalized on Sunday, May 10. 

The Bulldogs (7-12) will play at top seed St. Henry (16-2) in the sectional finals on Saturday, May 23 at 2 p.m.

The winner advances to the district semifinals at McGuffey on Wednesday, May 27 at 4:30 p.m. vs. the Parkway (8-14)/Lima Perry (9-5) survivor.

The district finals are slated for Friday, May 29 in Shelby at 5 p.m.

ADA_The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will host the May Membership Breakfast on Wednesday, May 20th at 8:30 a.m. at Beatitudes, 210 N. Main.

Enjoy a hot, homemade breakfast while connecting with fellow members and community leaders.

The featured speaker will be Greg Grimslid, former Hardin County Judge and attorney at Grimslid and Hood. Grimslid will be speaking on the importance of having a trusted business and personal attorney, and why strong legal guidance matters for both individuals and businesses.

Starting with food trucks and games at 1:00 p.m., the dedication ceremony starts at 2:00 p.m. Live music from 3:00-6:00 and the inaugural baseball game on the new field starting at 6:00 p.m. The park is located at 1014 N Ohio St, Alger.
