A chat with Nicolas Kamatali
Interview by Bel Mancuso
Nicolas Kamatali
Ada High School senior
What classes are you taking this semester?
Nicolas: Sociology, communications/economics, physics, film and lit, digital graphics, calculus, and Spanish 4.
What do you want to do after high school?
Nicolas: I hope to become a therapist, earning my degree at ONU. I would like to travel to Austria and be a therapist at an international hotel since my German is not great. If I’m passionate enough about psychology I might become a professor, but I’m not sure yet though.
What is one of your favorite past times?
Nicolas: I would narrow it down to two. I love to travel and and I love to create videos. I like making them as documentation for my future self. I know my parents weren’t able to really document their childhoods, I feel as though I almost should since they never had the chance to. Making videos makes me happy.
Where is one place you want visit some day?
Nicolas: I’d like to go to Iceland. It seems kind of secluded. It's super nature-based and I like to travel and hike. I also like the cold, so that would be nice. Iceland is also in my favorite movie, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and so I really want to see what he saw.
