Private family service planned in Ada for Cathy Ann McNeely
Cathy Ann McNeely, 55, died on Friday, March 20, 2020, at 9:16 a.m. at her residence in Bellevue, Ohio.
She was born on March 13, 1965 in Lima, Ohio to the late Richard L. “Dick” and Bonnie M. (Wireman) Counts. On March 2, 1992, Cathy married Warren “Mac” McNeely and he survives in Bellevue.
Cathy is also survived by her three sons: Jermaine (Mandi) Platt of Lebanon, Jordan (Karleigh Ripley) McNeely of Sandusky, and Joshua (Ivett) McNeely of Beaufort, S.C.; seven grandchildren: Jayce, Kingston, Maddox, Duke, Geovanny, Makenna and Daxton; brother, John (Bonnie) Counts; a sister, Linda (Marc) Staley; and many nieces and nephews.
Cathy worked as a home health care aide. She was a member of the Church of the North Coast in Lorain. Cathy was a sports mom to all children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
Private family service will be held at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Tom Dearth officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada. A public celebration of life will be held in Bellevue at a later date.
The family requests no flowers and instead memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
