This annoucement updates the late-evening news item from Tueday, April 28, about the Ada school levy -
Hancock County totals added on April 29 to Hardin's totals bring the Ada school levy count to:
425 For the levy
416 Against the levy
And:
52 regular absentee ballots yet to come in from precincts
23 provisional ballots, as well, meaning that 75 ballots are yet to be counted.
Meri Skilliter, Ada school superintendent, provided the Icon with the following update on April 29:
“The official canvass is set for May 11 at 9 a.m. This is a close one. With Hancock County’s totals added in, we are at 425 for and 416 against. There are still 52 regular absentee ballots yet to come in from the precincts for Ada Schools, and we have 23 provisional ballots, as well, for Ada Schools.”
According to the unofficial count with only votes from Hardin County counted, in the late hours of Tuesday, April 28, the Icon reported these totals, which are now out-of-date.
