Soccer players are invited to play Futsal in Harrod beginning January 15.
Coach Todd Jennings from Allen East High School is starting a Futsal league for players in grades K-12. Play will be held at the Harrod Event Center (old school building) on Sunday afternoons.
Futsal is small-sided game on a small field with small goals, usually 3v3 up to 6v6. These games will be on a basketball court. Typically there aren't goalies either.
Indoor soccer shoes or tennis shoes will work fine. You will need shin guards, water, and your own ball. Age appropriate Futsal balls will be provided for the game sessions.
OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital, the OSU Extension Agency, ONU HealthWise and Kenton City Schools have partnered to provide a walking program for the community, Walk with a Doc.
The next session will take place on Monday, December 5 at 5:30 p.m. and will be presented by OhioHealth Urgent Care certified nurse practitioner, Tammy Shepherd. Tammy will be comparing the various types of viruses and discussing when to go to urgent care vs the emergency department. In addition to the discussion ONU pharmacy students will be on hand to offer blood pressure screenings.
At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, the Ada Rotary will host its annual Holiday Food & Wine Pairing at The Inn at Ohio Northern University, 401 W. College Ave.
All are invited to join the club members for live music, a holiday atmosphere and a four-course meal paired with fine wines.
Tickets are $70 per person including tax & gratuity and are available at
