Sheung Ching Wong helped operate China Express
Sheung Ching Wong, 99, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020, at 10:15 a.m. at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
She was born on Dec. 14, 1921, in Taishan, China. On Feb. 24, 1946, Sheung married Chun Song Liu and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2003.
Sheung was born in China and lived there until 1958. She then lived in Hong Kong until moving to Ada in 1985. In 2015, she then moved to Columbus. She and her husband helped operate the Ada China Express owned by their son, Eddie Lau.
She is survived by her son, Eddie Lau and his wife Susan Lau of Columbus; three daughters: Sin Hai Lau and her husband King Lam of Hong Kong, China, Elaine Wong of Bluffton and Tanya Lau and her husband Chi Yong Chen of Ada; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, private family services are being held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada with Rev. Fr. William Ferguson officiating.
