Ada Lions present $5,750 in scholarships
Ada Lions Club recognized seven Ada High School graduates with scholarships total $5,750 this month.
The recipients and individual scholarship amounts follow:
Katelyn Butterfield $800
Sidney Gossard $1,050
Kendal Guagenti $500
Kaylee Huffer $800
Josephine Poling $1,050
Isaac Spar $1,050
Madison Wright $500
This is the 21st year of the Lions scholarships. During that period 98 students have received scholarship money totaling $87,200.
The Club has volunteered time in the Ada community for 66 years. Several of the Lions’ volunteer projects include scooping and delivering mulch, selling tickets at Ohio Northern University’s football and basketball games, sponsoring raffles and selling food at the Harvest and Herb Festival.
By far the largest money making and labor intensive project for the Ada Lions Club is the mulch sale that began on May 9.
The club asks viewers to consider purchase your yard mulch to allow the club to give more scholarships.
