Connee Willeke was a Dola post master

Connee Suzanne (Stack) Willeke, age 78, of Dola, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

Ada Schools Honor Roll for final quarter of 2023-2024

CORRECTION 7th grade student Tea Griffith received 7th grade All-A honors.

The following Ada Exempted Village Schools Honor Roll for grades 4-12 has been issued for the final quarter of the 2023-2024 academic year.

June 7-8 is Harrod Pork Rind Fest

The June 7-8 Pork Rind Heritage Festival will take place in Harrod, Ohio including a judged car show. For more information, visit www.porkrindfest.com/

The annual cruise-in car show is June 8 from 1:00-4:30 p.m. The Awards Ceremony is 4:30 at the Main Stage

There is a $10 entry fee. To register cars please enter via 4th and Oak streets by the Methodist church. Parking begins at 10:00 a.m.

Aqua Zumba and Yoga classes at War Memorial Park

The Hardin County OSU Extension will host two summer fitness classes at Ada's War Memorial Park.

June, July and August dates are on the Icon's Community Calendar

6:00-6:45 p.m. Aqua Zumba classes will take place at the Village of Ada pool beginning June 3 and ending August 5. A $5 donation is suggested. No pre-registration is required.

7:00-8:00 p.m.yoga classes will be held at the back of the park. If it rains, classes are held at the McIntosh Center Activities Room at ONU. Class dates are June 4, 25, July 2, 9, August 6, 13. No pre-registration is required. A mat and water bottle are suggested, as well as blocks and straps if you have them.

Instructors are Jami Dellifield, Nikki Martin and Lynne Scott.

Exotic Zoo library program at the park, June 4

Get ready for a wild adventure! The crowd favorite 'Exotic Zoo' is coming to Ada's War Memorial Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4. See a variety of amazing animals up close. Plus, enjoy delicious bites from food trucks on site. This free program is open to all.
