Dr. Karl Roider's next talk Wednesday at the public library

The second of five talks on the aftermath of World War One takes place at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18, in the Ada Public Library. Dr. Karl Roider leads the series. This week’s subject is “United States.”

The final three talks are Sept. 25, Russia; Oct. 2, Middle East; and Oct. 9, Return to Normalcy. The talks are free and open to the public.

Here's an update on activities at Ada High School. Information is from the school website:

PRE-SALE TICKETS:  for Friday’s military appreciation night football game will be on sale in the high school office from 8:15 to 3:45 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Cost is $4 for students and $5 for adults. All tickets are $6 at the door.

VOLLEY FOR A CURE T-SHIRTS: There are orders form in the high school office.  Completed order forms and money are due Thursday, Sept. 19. The game is Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 5:30 p.m., the Bulldogs verses Paulding.

JEP - MD is an Ohio State fan. The Icon saw this Hardin County plate on the ONU campus on a white Cadillac.

Dr. Cheri Diller, M.D., general practitioner, has joined Bluffton Family Practice and is accepting new patients, according to Dr. Darrel R. Hotmire.

Bluffton Family Practice is located at 582 Harmon Road, Bluffton.

Dr. Diller is seeing all ages of patients from newborns to seniors and both men and women.

The Pandora native has worked in private practice several years and until recently, she was a private practice staff physician with Bluffton Primary Care.

She has hospital affiliations with Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay and Bluffton campuses.

Ada's third straight match with a team score under 200

BLUFFTON - The Ada golf team whipped Hardin County foe Ridgemont 199-254 Monday evening in a dual match to end their regular season on a high note at the Bluffton Golf Course.

It was Ada's third straight match with a team score under 200. The Bulldogs dominated by taking the top five spots in the match.

"The boys are looking to carry this momentum into the (upcoming) post-season tournaments," said Ada head coach Jason Campbell.

Bulldog junior Brevin Sizemore was first medalist with a score of 46. He finished strong with scores of five, five and three over the final three holes.
