Another ONU all-academic athlete, and same for ONU women's track team
Senior Maggie Krause (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) was named an All-Academic Athlete and the Ohio Northern women's track and field team was named an All-Academic Team in 2020 by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Krause is a two-time NCAA All-American in the pole vault and was about to make her fourth NCAA Championships appearance in 2020. She was also named an Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America earlier this year.
She won the 2019 and 2020 Ohio Athletic Conference titles and ends her career as a five-time All-Region and All-Conference honoree.
Krause was one of 477 women from 123 institutions to be named All-Academic Athletes by the USTFCCCA.
The Polar Bears posted a 3.27 GPA to earn the award as one of 209 different programs honored for their academic excellence.
To qualify for the honor, a team must have a cumulative GPA of all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility of at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semeste
