You'll find the Icon Veggie Garden of the Week on North Main
Photos and story by Jimmy Wilson
This week's Ada Icon Veggie Garden of the Week belongs to Sophie and Russ Crawford and their grandson, Tristan Seitanakis.
Recent events prompted the Crawfords, who live on North Main Street, Ada, to plant their garden, not only as a way to raise vegetables for eating, but also to help educate their 6-year old grandson on the importance and rewards of gardening.
While Tristan enjoyed the construction and planting phases, the Crawfords admit that weeding and tending to the plants doesn't seem to have the same appeal to their grandson. Some things never change.
The Ada Veggie Garden of the Week highlights vegetable gardens in the Ada area as a way of promoting self-sufficiency and agriculture education.
If you would like to have your garden in the Ada Icon, or would like to suggest that of one of your neighbors, contact Jimmy Wilson at 419-236-2904.
