Boys' soccer: Jacob Poling scores 4 goals as Ada beat Lincolnview

ADA - The Ada boys soccer team whipped visiting Lincolnview 4-0 Monday night at the park to stay atop the Northwest Conference standings.
Following the victory, the Bulldog record improved to 5-3 overall and 3-0 in the NWC. The Lancers fell to 1-5-3 and 0-3 in league play with the defeat.
Ada is in first place in the conference standings with nine points, ahead of defending champion Bluffton (2-0 NWC) and Spencerville (2-1 NWC) with six points apiece.
The Bulldogs and undefeated Pirates (8-0-1) meet at Bluffton September 28 in a first-place showdown.
Senior Jacob Poling scored all four Ada goals to pace the victors. Ian Dellifield and Isaac Williams each passed out one assist.
Sophomore keeper Grant Preston made six saves in goal and also dished out an assist for Ada.
Lincolnview edged the Bulldog reserves 1-0 in a one-half junior varsity match.
Ada, winner of five of its last six matches, visits local rival Cory-Rawson in an NCOSA battle Thursday, September 24.
