Charles Smith funeral service on Tuesday
Charles F. “Chuck” Smith, Jr., 61, passed away on Friday, Sept. 18, 2020, in the early morning due to an auto accident.
He was born on Aug. 12, 1959 in Washington, D.C., to Charles and Etta (Kearns) Smith, Sr. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Harrod.
Chuck worked as an independent insurance agent. He was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Kenton. Chuck was always generous with his time, money and love. He loved people, Mexican food and was known as the “Cookie Man.” Chuck especially loved his children and grandchildren.
Also surviving are his three sons: Jackson C. Smith of Washington, D.C., Chandler (Shaunah) Smith of Marysville and Gabe Smith of Harrod; three grandchildren: Madison Smith, Sawyer Smith and Reed Smith; a brother, Brad (Dani) Smith of New Jersey; and three sisters: Terri Reveron of Maryland, Deidre (John) Krumpotich of Florida and Julia (Jared) Gull of Virginia. Previously married to Michele Smith, she survives in Ada.
Charles was preceded in death by a nephew, John Marley Jr.
Face coverings are requested to be worn while attending visitation and service.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 1010 E. Franklin St., Kenton, Ohio 43326 with Rev. James Goldsmith officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 1010 E. Franklin St., Kenton, Ohio 43326 and one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church on Wednesday.
