Head coach Christopher resigns

By Cort Reynolds
ADA - On Thursday afternoon, the Ada school district and athletic department made the difficult and unprecedented decision to cancel the rest of its 2020 football season after just three games.

"Safety concerns arising from a limited number of Ada players available for the game have forced this decision for the Ada district," wrote second-year Bulldog athletic director Eric Perkins in a brief press release.

Third-year head coach Shawn Christopher also announced his resignation Thursday, effective immediately.

Active aging with Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio

Downsizing is a hot topic among older adults. In a recent conversation via the Empower'd Aging Group on Facebook, I queried the 'ASK ME ANYTHING' expert, Thomesa Lydon, founder of Lydon Senior Pathways, questions about relocation and downsizing.

Question: "Thomesa, what's the first piece of advice you give someone when they hope to downsize?"

Answer - "First create a plan that includes how you see yourself living in the next 10, 20 or even 30 years. Know your financial picture which will clearly illustrate your options -- what you can afford."

The news of Chadwick Boseman’s death at the age of 43 – coupled with the knowledge that he privately suffered from colon cancer for a number of years – shocked many in the film community and anyone who had been a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Arriving relatively late in the Avengers/Thanos story arc, Chadwick Boseman catapulted to superstardom when he took the role of Black Panther and appeared in Captain America: Civil War. Two years later, he headlined the Black Panther solo film.

"We would like to thank the many loyal customers who have purchased pecans from us over the years, allowing us to give back to the Ada community anywhere from $500 to $1,500 each year. Sadly, we will no longer be selling pecans," she said.
