Ada's latest news

Ada Public Library hosts a Knit & Crochet club on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 6 p.m. The group can usually be found in the front room, near the fireplace.

And there's plenty of activities planned all day on Aug. 24

Here's an update on the Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival.

The 2019 festival is Saturday, Aug. 24. It celebrates Ada’s remarkable contribution to the sport of football, as all footballs used in the National Football League are made in Ada’s Wilson Football Factory. This is an Ada Area Chamber of Commerce event.

Event goers can watch footballs being made during the "Wilson Experience" and participate in activities at the Pro Football Hall of Fame exhibit.

There will be events throughout the day for football fans of all ages and interests.

Your re-routing around the Hog Creek bridge on Hardin County Road 15 west of Ada is no longer necessary. The bridge is now open. However, the county is developing a plan to alleviate flooding on the road and intends to raise the road and then repave County Road 15  this fall. That will close the bridge again.

Bazaar and craft show planned Aug. 3

A few booth spaces remain available for the McGuffey Memory Room bazaar and craft show planned in early August. Persons interested in reserving a booth should contact T.J. Carter in the village office for details at 419-757-2292.
