In late October Ada will hold an event with masks required
Note: Ada Kiwanis Club will hold a Halloween parade this year.
In late October Ada will hold an event with masks required and few participants are complaining.
Mayor Dave Retterer announced that trick-or-treating will take place in the village from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29.
Like most Ohio communities, Ada awaited the covid-19 guidelines from the governor’s office before making an announcement. That green light arrived last week.

Some ideas to consider:
• Consider using a Halloween-themed cloth mask.
• Carry hand sanitizer and use it often, especially after coming into contact with frequently touched surfaced and before eating candy.
• Swipe off candy wrappers with sanitizing wipes before opening the wrappers.
• Refrain from having children select their own treats from a bowl. Consider lining up candy on a porch step, or table in the driveway.
• For persons offering candy at the homes, consider providing hand sanitizers for Halloweeners.
