Tickets still available for Thursday Rotary chicken dinner
Do you have plans for supper on Thursday? If not, here's a suggestion.
Ada Rotary Club members are selling tickets for a Thursday, Oct. 1, chicken dinner fundraiser.
Tickets are $9 each and are available from club members, or from Becky Neville (419-230-2250 or 419-303-0586) and at Quest Federal Credit Union, Ada.
Some drive-thru dinners may be available, but tickets may sell out.
Dinners may be picked up at Hays Insurance, 202 S. Main St., Ada, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., on the day of the event.
The dinner includes one-half barbecue chicken (prepared by Mike Bollinger Chicken at the Lake), potato salad and green beans.
The fundraiser supports awareness and funds to eradicate polio, a vaccine-preventable disease that threatens children in parts of the world today.
Since Rotary and its partners launched the Global Polio Eradication Initiative in 1988, the incidence of polio has plummeted by more than 99.9 percent, from about 350,000 cases to just 22 cases in 2017. Rotary has contributed more than $1.8 billion to ending polio.
