Bulldogs run at Kalida Invite

KALIDA - The Ada cross country teams competed at the Kalida Wildcat Invitational Saturday morning.
Van Wert won the 24-team boys title with 81 points. Ottawa-Glandorf was second with 108 points, followed by Elyria Catholic (120) in third.
Ada finished 20th with 521 points, ahead of McComb, Ottoville, LCC and Miller City. It was the first meet this season the Bulldog boys were able to field a full five-man squad needed to post a team score.
Senior Jacob Morgan paced the Bulldog boys by finishing 56th out of 144 runners. He covered the 3.1-mile course in 18:27.9.
Junior Riley Ferguson came in 90th place with a time of 19:52.7.
Sophomore Robby Waters finished 124th in 22:59.7.
Classmate Connor Daugherty crossed the finish line 127th in 23:30.4. Senior Cole Anspaugh finished right behind him in 128th place with a time of 23:31.0.
Matt Krese of Elyria Catholic won the boys individual race in a time of 16:31.4.
Sophomore Amelia Alexander finished 72nd out of 115 runners in 24:05.7 to lead the Lady Bulldog runners.
Freshman Elsie Allen came in 108th at 27:50.7.
Napoleon won the girls team title with 78 points. Van Wert was second with 83 points, while Ottawa-Glandorf was third (98).
Sophomore Taylor Spencer of Waynesfield won the girls race in 18:17.2, 43 seconds ahead of the second-place runner.
