Calling all Ada Public Library Summer Reading Program prize winners. Please come to the library to pick up your prizes! The meeting room needs to go back to its usual purpose. Library director Rhett Grant told Ada Area Chamber of Commerce members that this was the biggest Summer Reading program in the library's history with over 500 readers participating.

The parade will take place on Saturday, August 9 at 9:30 p.m. Lineup is at 8;30 a.m. at ONU on West Lincoln Ave., in Myers East and Myers West parking lots. JULY 22 MEDIA RELEASE__During the 2024-25 white-tailed deer archery hunting season, State Wildlife Officer Ryan Burke, assigned to Hancock County, received a report of a buck found dead in a field with an arrow in it. The caller stated that the individual claiming to have shot the deer had already harvested a buck. Officer Burke determined that the suspect had harvested two bucks, exceeding the statewide bag limit of one antlered deer. The individual pleaded guilty to taking more than one antlered deer in Hardin County Municipal Court, paid $500 in restitution and $150 in fines, and forfeited hunting privileges for one year.
