The commemoration will include comments from ONU President Dan DiBiasio and village of Ada Mayor Dave Retterer, who is also a visiting associate professor at ONU.
There will also be a memorial wreath laying, a soloist from the University Singers who will perform the national anthem and a color guard comprised of ONU ROTC students.
This year’s keynote speaker for the Veterans Day Commemoration is Dr. Charlie Rose, dean of the ONU Pettit College of Law, who spent 20 years on active duty with the U.S. Army prior to his work in higher education.
The ceremony is open to ONU faculty, staff and students to attend in person, following social distancing and COVID-19 safety protocols, and ONU alumni and the village of Ada community are invited to engage via livestream.
The 2020 Veterans Day Commemoration is sponsored by the ONU Office of the Chaplain and the Ohio Northern Veterans Organization.
