Ada matmen open at Cory duals

RAWSON - The Ada wrestling team opened its season at the annual Cory-Rawson Duals Saturday.
The Bulldogs finished fourth out of six teams with a 2-3 dual meet record at the competition.
Archbold won the team title with a 5-0 dual record, followed by Van Buren (4-1), Delphos Jefferson (3-2), Ada, Cory-Rawson (1-4) and Lima Senior (0-5).
Carson Meyer, a 182-pounder from Archbold, was voted the Most Valuable Wrestler at the meet.
Ada beat host C-R 36-30; lost to Archbold 36-21; lost to Delphos Jefferson 36-30; defeated Lima Senior 36-18; and lost to Van Buren 54-30.

120 lbs. Clayton McClain 5-0 (one pin vs. Archbold, 4-0 by void)
126 lbs. Colton Biederman 5-0 (one pin vs. C-R, 4-0 by void)
132 lbs. Antonio Pettit 4-1 (one pin vs. L-B, lost dec. to Archbold, 3-0 by void)
160 lbs. Aaron Arnett 2-3 (one pin vs. C-R, lost three by pin, one win by void)
170 lbs. Cameron Bober 4-1 (three pins vs. Lima Sr., DJ and VB; lost one pin, won one by void)
182 lbs. Kyle Mattson 1-4 (lost three by pin, ne loss by decision, one win by void)
220 lbs. Jonathan McClain 1-4 (lost four by pin, one win by void)
285 lbs. Brandon Paul 4-1 (two wins by pin vs. Lima Sr. and C-R, one loss by decision to DJ)
