Ada matmen 9th at Rossford tourney

ROSSFORD - The Ada varsity wrestling team finished ninth out of 11 teams Saturday at the Jim McCumber Invitational hosted by Rossford.
Edison won the event with 339 points, far ahead of second-place Vermilion (182.5).
Ada tallied 48 points to beat Toledo Christian, Findlay and Sylvania Southview.
Bulldog senior Colton Biederman went 3-1 with two decisions and a pin. He won the third-place tournament bout with a shutout decision in the 120 lbs. weight bracket over Mickalos Takacs of Monroeville, 2-0.
Ada sophomore Antonio Pettit posted a 2-2 record in the 126 lbs. division with two pins to finish third in round robin pool action.
Senior Cameron Bober finished 3-2 in the 170 lbs. class, winning his fifth-place tourney match by pin over freshman Brady Czernikowski of Southview. He also recorded a pin and won another pool play bout by a 6-0 decision.
Junior Brandon Paul went 0-3 in the 285 lbs. bracket.
