Council president lists 2021 village goals
Bob Simmons, Ada council president, outlined his 2021 goals for the village in a report presented at the Jan. 5 council session. Click here to view the Jan. 19 council agenda, which includes his report.
The 12-point report includes:
• Continued work on some alley vacations
• Grandview project, discussion with residents, review scope of project
• Our green space – developing policies for items recycled, hours open, located near Ada water treatment plant
• Memorabilia in attic of depot and removal of train club layout
• New evaluation system unique to Ada for its four administrators
• Paint depot and lamp posts in Ada
• Complete illustrated duties of all positions in the village
• Work with ONU to develop logo and painting water tower –
it is ONU’s sesquicentennial (August 1871)
• Hiring of Ada pool personnel and operating standards
• Complete fire hydrant repairs
• Hire manager for depot flowers
• Location of personnel files
His 2021 report also includes listing of goals set for 2020, which follow:
• Purchase village tornado siren
• Complete employee performance evaluations
• Develop performance evaluation for village administrator, police chief, fiscal officer, human resources coordinator
• Purchase new leaf vacuum
• Work on alley vacations
• Updating employee classification specifications
• Completion of Lincoln II street construction
• Hire Class 2 water treatment plant operator
• Hire pool manager
