This is a series of 2017 Icon photos of Ada leaders, both in the community and university. Ada is a fortunate village to have a good relationship, at least at the present time, between the town and gown – people working together for the good of all.
This is not an exhaustive photo essay of all Ada leaders, but merely some of the movers and shakers in this town caught by the Ada Icon camera in the past year.
How crazy is this? We've uncoverd over 25 photos of crazy happenings in Ada during 2017. Look closely. You might be one of the crazies! All the photos are found in the story below.

People must think that the people of Ada are crazy.
The Ada Icon caught many of our local residents and ONU students and employees dressed in unusual ways during the year.
Take a gander at these 2017 Ada Icon photos and judge for yourself. Have aliens landed and taken up residency in the Village of Ada?
One might think so. We begin with Joel Luecke as Mr. Banana, but he's helping with the Colleges Against Cancer at Relay for Life...or so he said. Check out some of the other outlandish Ada folks and see if you recognize them (maybe you are pictured).
GALLATIN, Tenn. — Ohio Northern roared back from a 14-point first half deficit to post an impressive 88-75 men's basketball victory over Keene State (N.H.) at the Music City Classic on Saturday afternoon at Volunteer State (Tenn.) Community College's Pickel Field House.
The Polar Bears (8-3 overall) were led by and senior Nate Burger (Dayton/Alter) with 32 points and seven rebounds.
SPRINGFIELD — Junior Jenna Dirksen (Beavercreek/Carroll) was named the tournament Most Valuable Player as she led the No. 14-ranked Ohio Northern women's basketball team to a 63-43 victory over Wittenberg on Saturday afternoon in the championship game of the Kiwanis Holiday Classic at Pam Evans Smith Arena.
The Polar Bears improve to 10-1 overall, while the Tigers drop to 7-7 on the season.
Dirksen and senior Lindsey Black (Urbana/Graham) were each named to the All-Tournament team for Ohio Northern.
WAYNESFIELD - Allen East broke away from a halftime tie to post a 52-47 win over rival Ada in the third-place game of the inaugural Border Battle boys basketball tournament in Waynesfield Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs fell to 2-7 with the loss, while the Mustangs improved to 3-5 after the victory. Their win avenged a 40-32 loss at rival Ada 15 days earlier.
Cold shooting from the floor by both teams matched the weather outside, but AE shot accurately beyond the arc and at the foul line to provide the difference.
