William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan’s whimsical and comedic operetta, “The Pirates of Penzance,” will return to the Freed Center for the Performing Arts April 6-9 since its last showing in 1993.
Kirsten Osbun Manley, the program director of the Ohio Northern University’s musical theater program, is directing the show with the intention of exposing her students to a new style of music to challenge them vocally.
Manely decided to do an operetta since one has not been performed since the 1999 performance of “H.M.S. Pinafore.”
David Dellifield, Ada Area Chamber of Commerce president, shows the new look of the chamber website to members at the March chamber breakfast. The website now had photos of the community, a calendar of Ada events plus the vendor forms for the September Harvest and Herb Festival. CLICK HERE to view the website.
The Ada Senior Citizens will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Community Health Professionals to play cards and other games after a short business meeting.
The group plans a luncheon at Table One In Kenton on April 12.
Ada area senior citizens age 55 and over are invited to join the group for $10 annually. The organization meets twice monthly
The trauma center at Blanchard Valley Hospital has been verified as a Level III Trauma Center by the Verification Review Committee (VRC), an ad hoc committee of the Committee on Trauma (COT) of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
This achievement recognizes the trauma center's dedication to providing optimal care for injured patients. The BVH Trauma Center is under the medical direction of Doug Yoder, MD.
