Tickets are now on sale for the Ada Music Boosters chicken barbecue.
It is held at the Ada Village Park prior to the first home football game of the year from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 26, when the Bulldogs host Upper Scioto Valley.
The barbecue is a major fundraiser for the boosters. Proceeds benefit numerous projects for Ada’s instrumental and vocal music programs.
The long wait is almost over for the writers, dreamers, time-wasters and schemers who have been without a hang-out since Ada’s only coffee shop, Northern On Main, closed for good last May. Its replacement, Cosi, is slated to open in early August, according to officials at Ohio Northern University.
The "fast-casual" restaurant chain has 98 locations, primarily in New York City, with three in Columbus. This would be the only Cosi in northwestern Ohio.
