Alice Hothem 1941 - 2021
Alice (Bailey) Hothem, 79, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at 6:41 p.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1941, in McGuffey, Ohio, to the late Jarvie and Hazel (Clark) Bailey. Alice married Howard Keith Hothem and he preceded her in death.
Alice retired from being a home health care provider. She was a member of the Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God in Alger, Ohio since 1991. She was an avid gardener, loved to crochet and read.
She is survived by her two children: Collette Spurck of Forest and Michael (Mariam) Kindle of Toledo; six grandkids and 10 great grandkids; three sisters: Janice Rausch of Forest, Sue Hemmelry of Forest and Rose Fredrick of Forest; and two brothers: Ruben “Butch” Bailey of Findlay and Raymond “Shorty” Bailey of Idaho.
Alice was preceded in death by her son, Richard Santford Kindle, II; two brothers: Hank Bailey and George Bailey; and four sisters: Betty Jane Sloan, Diana Williams, Jean-Ann Nickols and Rita L. Littler.
Memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger. It was Alice’s wish to be cremated.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger.
