Gary Richardson was a past member of Allen East school board
Gary Paul Richardson, 74, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at 2:42 a.m. at his residence.
He was born on May 19, 1946, in Lima to Paul E. and Betty Jean (Rose) Richardson, Sr. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Harrod. On Nov. 28, 1965, Gary married Deborah K. Long and she survives in Harrod.
Gary was a lifelong farmer and a former member of the Ohio Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Crossroads Church of God, Lima. He was a former member of the Allen East School Board and of the Allen Lima Leadership (ALL). Gary was a member of the Elks Lodge - Lima B.P.O.E. #54.
Also surviving are his three sons: Stacy (Traci) Richardson of Harrod, Brian (Tracy) Richardson of Harrod and Nick (Jammie) Richardson of Harrod; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Paul “Bud” (Mary) Richardson, Jr. of Alger; and a sister, Diana (Jon) Rex of Harrod.
Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements. Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation and service.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 15, at the Crossroads Church of God, 775 S. Thayer Road, Lima, with Pastor Brian Robertson and Pastor Dick Jueckstock officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Westminster.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada ,and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
