GROB taking applications for 2021 apprentices
FROM BLUFFTON ICON - GROB, Bluffton, is searching for its next class of apprentices. Over the past years, several persons in the program are Ada High School graduates.
The application deadline for the 2021 class is Wednesday, March 31.
The apprenticeship program at GROB Systems has been in place at the Bluffton production plant for 30 years. The goal of the program is to build the company’s future workforce with employees who are trained in a highly technical way that matches the growing needs of their customers and products.
To date, GROB Bluffton has hired and trained over 375 apprentices.
The GROB apprenticeship is a four-year program where apprentices receive on-the-job training at GROB while earning a company-paid Associates degree in Engineering Technology through Rhodes State College.
Apprentices earn while they learn and receive their hourly rate even while attending classes at Rhodes.
At GROB, apprentices will train in our apprenticeship labs and work alongside experienced workers in the manufacturing and assembly areas of our facility to further develop their technical skills.
The combination of their GROB training and Rhodes degree will prepare apprentices to become highly skilled technicians in various mechanical and electrical departments throughout our facility.
Those interested can learn more and apply online at www.joingrob.com/apprentice.
