There was plenty of pride at Monday's Buy Local event held in conjunction with the Kiwanis Halloween parade. Depot visitors sampled Ada's own Harvest Pride tortillas and chips. Dawn Steiner (right) and Denise Grappy helped out with the taste tests. 

Four members of the Ada High School boys' soccer team received all-Northwest Conference honors at the end of the season. Ada finished in 4th place at 1-3-1 and 2-13-1 overall.

First team from Ada:
• Will Allen, junior

Second team from Ada:
• Terry Sheridan, sophomore
•Logan Williams, sophomore

Honorable mention from Ada:
• Ace Gamble, sophomore

Ada High School's football team is currently 7th in Division VII Region 26 Ohio computer rankings, with one regular season game to go.

The top 8 teams advance in the playoffs.

Two Ada HS senior volleyball players will participate in the District 8 All-Star volleyball match held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Bluffton University’s Sommer Center.

Ada players on the Division IV East all-star team include: Carlee Marshall and Megan Simon. Coaching the East team is Diana Inbody, Arlington, and Brent Newell, Leipsic.

The Division IV team includes players from Ada, Arlington, Arcadia, Hardin Northern, Leipsic, Lima Central Catholic, McComb and Pandora-Gilboa.

In addition, three Ada players received all-district honors. They are:
• Melina Wood, first team
• Carlee Marshall, second team
• Megan Simon, second team

Applications are now being accepted for the Bradley Joseph Memorial Scholarship for Medical Missions. This scholarship will assist northwest Ohio pharmacy and nursing students who wish to participate in medical mission trips.

Applicants must be pursuing a career in the medical field in Ohio or Michigan. Priority will be given to pharmacy or nursing students at Ohio Northern University and the University of Findlay. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
